Geoquest Marine Services is an indigenous Nigeria offshore & onshore survey, inspection and soil investigation company. Our clients are from multiple industries including Oil & Gas, Energy & Renewables, Deepwater Research, Exploration and Infrastructure.

We are fully compliant with local content regulations and registered with the Department of Petroleum Resources & NIPEX.

With extensive experience, in-house design, engineering and naval architect design capabilities together with our adaptable and reliable offshore survey, inspection and investigation equipment, Geoquest Marine Services Limited can provide complete turnkey solutions for offshore site survey and inspection requirements. Through accurate seabed data obtained using investigative and survey techniques, which will achieve significant cost savings for our Clients and their projects.

Geoquest Marine Services Limited provides offshore/onshore geophysical and geotechnical soil investigations and vessel based surveys, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study, ROV based detailed seabed mapping and pipeline umbilical and cable inspection surveys. Geotechnical investigations are carried out using heave compensated marine drilling rigs which are capable of operating in 1,500 m of water.

Geoquest has on its board seasoned personnel with average of 30 decades of experience in the maritime and oil & gas industries.
AMIGE is the owner and operator of the industry workhorse drillship named MV BAVENIT and worked for several years as subcontractor to Fugro until 2014 to deliver landmark surveys for:
  • ExxonMobil (Erha Field Development Project)
  • SNEPCo (Bonga Field Development Project)

Rear Admiral Abiodun Olukoya (rtd)

Chairman

Rear Admiral Abiodun Olukoya (Rtd.) has over 40 years of experience in public service and the private sector. He enlisted in the Nigerian Navy in 1967 rising rapidly through the ranks, holding several strategic and leadership positions. Notable of which include Nigerian Defence Attaché to the Republic of Cameroun, Director of Administration & Logistics Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), Director of Administration Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Military Governor of Ondo state (comprising present Ondo & Ekiti States) from 1990 to 1992, and Chairman of Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Auditing, Wreck Clearing & Sale of residual metals in Nigerian Waters. He retired honorably from the Nigerian Navy in 1999 with numerous decorations, going on to lead and chair several private organizations such as Managing Director, Allison Fisheries, Director PRO-QUIP Nigeria Limited, Chairman, Oaklands & Johnson and Chairman, DGU Human Resource Consulting and Chairman Governing Board, AfriSAFE.. He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan.

Adedayo Olukoya

Chief Executive Officer

Adedayo Olukoya has over 28 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry. He started his professional career working on major capital projects for Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited and later Esso Exploration & Producing Nigeria Limited. Projects delivered consist of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)/restoration of offshore platforms and ancillary pipeline networks, onshore infrastructure upgrades and ExxonMobil’s first operated deepwater FPSO development in Nigeria. He has vast experience in planning and execution of geophysical and geotechnical surveys in both shallow and deepwater. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Adeyemi Oba

Director

Adeyemi Oba has 25 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry. He previously held technical / management positions with global organizations such as Schlumberger Oil Field services and numerous regional organizations. He is a specialist in reservoir scale evaluation, core, petrophysical structural, stratigraphic and production engineering. He has delivered development studies for major oil producers; Chevron, Shell, Agip and Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait Energy Company; Khafji Joint Operations (Owned by Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Oil Company). He holds a Doctorate degree in Petroleum Geology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
